Faleolo is located in Samoa. Samoa consists of 10 islands in Polynesia which covers a total area of 2831 square kilometres. Samoa is one of the smallest countries in the Pacific and also one of the poorest. There are no large hotel complexes along the beaches, but many small huts. Since the late 1990s Samoa had a leading role in sustainable tourism. The islands are incredibly beautiful with white sand beaches, coral reefs, marine wildlife and rain forest covered with volcanic peaks. Samoans are known for their lifestyle, where they value family and are very friendly.

Food and drinks

The Samoan cuisine is quite mild and varies little. The meals usually consist of boiled taro or rice cooked with coconut milk, fresh fish, breadfruit and often canned or fresh meat. The meals are usually served with coconut drinks, tea or coffee. In recent years, the Samoan cuisine has been influenced by Western food culture and have largely abandoned the traditional cuisine.

Weather and climate

Samoa has a tropical climate with a temperature of 26-27 degrees year round. The best time to travel to Samoa is during the dry period, which is from May to October, but because of the weather, it's hard to find a bad time to visit the country.
